Exploring the theme of food as medicine, PINS AND NOODLES follows filmmaker Paul Kwan's search for a cure for his food allergies from San Francisco's Chinatown to the herbal districts of Saigon, Taipei and Hong Kong. During the opening night, Chinese take out boxes with miniature cookbooks where handed out to the audience to their great enjoyment.The cook book included recipes by the film maker as well as their biography.The design was highly successful and led to a long lasting working relationship with the filmmakers as well as NAATA.
